Lyrics:
I could be the twist
The one to make you stop
The icing on your cake
The cherry on the top
It’s heaven in my heart
And we could find you some space
I could be the world to you
The missing piece
That extra sentimental kind of chemistry
Some people make it hard
With me that isn’t the case
Cos I make it so easy to fall in love
So come give me a call
and we’ll fall into us
I’m the perfect mix of Saturday night
And the rest of your life
Anyone with a heart would agree
It’s so easy
To fall in love with
The way I do my hair
The way you make me laugh
The way we love to share
A walk in Central Park
I could be fresh air
Might be the girl of your dreams
There’s no need to hide
If you’re into me cos I’m into you
Quite intimately
And maybe one night could turn into three
Well I’m down to see
Cos I make it so easy to fall in love
So come give me a call
And we’ll fall into us
I’m the perfect mix of Saturday night
And the rest of your life
Anyone with a heart would agree
It’s so easy to fall in love with me

Smooth Jazz & Relaxing Instrumentals — Soft Minutes, Long Light

Fri, 14 Aug 2026 00:23:35 +0000

#SoftJazz #jazzrelaxingmusic #caféjazz

The light stretches long across the floor, and nobody asks it to hurry.
Warm baritone sax and the soft glow of electric piano fill the golden hour—amber spilling over everything, minute by unhurried minute.

🕯️ Find the warm spot by the window, breathe out, and let the afternoon hold on a little longer.
📖 Reading, resting, or just watching the light move? These mellow melodies stay as gentle as the sun going down.

The soft waves of sound follow the glow from late afternoon into dusk, softening everything on the way.
We hope these melodies make your golden hours last.

🎶 If you enjoy the vibe, please like and subscribe to stay connected.
💬 Tell us in the comments—where does the light fall best in your home?

📌 Perfect for:
・Late afternoons and slow sunsets
・Reading or resting in warm light
・Unhurried work and gentle focus

Sheila E.: Tiny Desk Concert

Mon, 14 Oct 2024 22:04:15 +0000

This Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, NPR Music celebrates artists from all corners of Latinidad with an 'El Tiny' takeover.

Felix Contreras | October 11, 2024
Sheila E. is a portrait of motion.

Not just the movement of her body as one of the world’s most recognized drummers, but also as a versatile musician who glides easily from genre to genre with the ease of a master. For her time behind the Desk, she assembled a team of musicians to play tracks from her first ever salsa album Bailar.

From the first notes of “Rumba Percussion Jam,” Sheila E.’s bona-fides performing true rumbera (traditional Afro-Cuban drumming and singing) are on full display with her conga chops. The entire set is a reflection of her long standing ability to meld Afro-Caribbean, jazz and funk into a danceable celebration that caps off with shots of tequila for her final track “Playa Tequila.”

Any amount of time spent with Sheila E. is a reminder that high caliber musicianship is always first and goes down easier when presented with the joyous energy of an icon.

Lyrics:
From all the memories I’ve got inside my head
I get a little bit higher
Even though I know I’m not deserving it
I feel a little desire
Every time I open up and lose control
But now I’m out of one-liners
And still a little bit tired

When there’s a good thing coming
I turn around instead
I’m getting good at ignoring it

Is it too late to say that I’m lost on my own
It’s like all of its for not on a sinking stone
So I’ll tighten my grip on the last part of me
Is it too late to say I was always afraid
But not today

Remember late 2000’s
Empty bottles and a pencil in my hand
Maybe a part of me doubted
So I never said the things I should’ve said

It turns out that it’s a challenge
The balance
I’m probably thinking too much
About it
The sentiment was lost but
I found it along the way

When there’s a good thing coming
I drown it out instead
I can’t keep it from flooding in

Is it too late to say that I’m lost on my own
It’s like all of its for not on a sinking stone
So I’ll tighten my grip on the last part of me
Is it too late to say I was always afraid
But not today

When crashes come calling
Still I keep stalling
Who am I to say
I can’t take it all the way

Is it too late to say that I’m lost on my own
It’s like all of its for not on a sinking stone
So I’ll tighten my grip on the last part of me
Is it too late to say I was always afraid
But not today
No not today
